Job Summary

Teaching Assistant for GEOG 1P02 (Geographies of Identity and Meaning) at Brock University. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom tasks such as seminar material prep, student consultation, grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, M.A. candidate or B.A. Honours Degree in Human Geography or equivalent
  • Completion of 4 full credits in Human Geography with an overall average of 75% or higher in all Human Geography courses completed (or equivalent)
  • Completion of the course for which the applicant wishes to be teaching assistant with a final grade of 75% or higher (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated successful undergraduate teaching experience or equivalent small group leadership in an undergraduate context
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Equivalency determined by the course instructor
