Job Summary
Teaching Assistant for CRIM 3Q94 - Environmental and Green Criminology. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom tasks such as seminar material preparation, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required. Requires a Masters Degree or Honours Degree in Sociology or equivalent (or current enrollment with qualifying credentials). Demonstrated teaching competence and knowledge of environmental thought and nonhuman issues, especially related to sociology and social justice, preferred. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a part-time, on-campus role at Brock University.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree or Honours Degree in Sociology or equivalent
- Completion of the course for which the applicant wishes to be TA with a final grade of 75% or higher (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated teaching competence
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
