Job Summary
Assist faculty with classroom instruction and teaching-related duties in the Business Management Department. Responsibilities include developing teaching materials, preparing and administering examinations, grading papers, tutoring or mentoring students, procuring class materials, preparing presentations, distributing assignments, recording grades, and helping in creating syllabi and course websites. Use Canvas for student communication, take attendance, and adhere to FERPA and BYU–Hawaii Honor Code. Participate in TA training and orientation and support professors with lecture-related tasks, exams, and miscellaneous projects.
Required Qualifications
- Upper-Division Courses Completed
- 6 Months of Directly Relevant Experience
- I-9 eligibility documentation
- Ability to comply with FERPA and BYU–Hawaii Honor Code
- Access to Canvas or related inter-campus communication system
- Record-keeping and grading experience
- Proctoring examinations
