Job Summary
Support instructors with company-created curriculum and materials to help advanced students grasp complex concepts. Work one-on-one with students during class activities, provide additional help when needed, and assist with grading and constructive feedback on student work. Help maintain an organized learning environment while managing up to 16 students, connecting with students and staff to encourage their academic growth. Foster an environment that promotes critical thinking and academic curiosity. This role requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for assigned classes during the 2026–2027 academic year or summer camps. Candidates must be located in Vienna or the greater DMV area.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years old or older
- Possess strong math skills with the ability to help students navigate advanced concepts
- Exceptional written and spoken communication
- Positive and encouraging attitude that helps students feel comfortable asking questions
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Familiarity with the AoPS curriculum is not required, but a plus
- In order to be considered for this position you must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Candidates must be located in Vienna or the greater DMV area and must be able to commute to our campus
- Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends
- This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with/interest in working with younger students strongly preferred
