Job Summary
Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration). Requires completed undergraduate degree and ABA-related experience; familiarity with disability studies is an asset. Strong communication, ability to provide constructive feedback, and time-management skills are needed. Role involves in-person/online instruction in ST. Catharines with some course delivery across Fall/Winter terms, and use of Brightspace and video-conferencing tools. Experience teaching ABA to graduate or undergraduate students or clinical staff is an asset, as is experience with academic software and platforms (Brightspace, Lifesize, Teams). Potential duties may include course coordination and lab demonstration tasks; candidates should be able to attend on-campus or online support sessions, and manage office hours and course-related administration.
Required Qualifications
- Completed undergraduate degree
- Previous completion of ADST 5P76 with >85 grade
- Demonstrated relevant Graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Behavioural Psychology
- Demonstrated experience in ABA
- Demonstrated experience in disability studies considered an asset
- Previous experience in teaching principles of ABA to graduate or undergraduate students and/or clinical staff members an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Available to attend in ST.CATHARINES and/or attend online synchronous and asynchronous course support – weekday/evenings/weekend
- Experience using Brightspace or other learning management systems
- Experience using video conferencing platforms (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams)
- Available for in person, online, email and phone office hours during the week
