Job Summary
Teaching Assistant duties include scheduled student contact, seminar material preparation, grading and marking, examination proctoring, and general course administration. Responsibilities also include student consultation, holding office hours, and assisting with ABA-related instruction, along with use of Brightspace and video-conferencing tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams). The role requires demonstrated experience in ABA and/or Behavioural Psychology and strong communication and time-management skills. Availability to work on campus in St. Catharines, Ontario, with some online components, and the ability to support Fall/Winter course delivery as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completed undergraduate degree
- ADST 5P76 with >85 grade
- Graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Behavioural Psychology (asset)
- Experience in ABA (asset)
- Experience in teaching ABA to graduate/undergraduate students and/or clinical staff (asset)
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Available to attend on campus in Burlington and/or online synchronous/asynchronous support
- Experience using Brightspace or other LMS
- Experience with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Lifesize, Teams)
- Available for in-person, online, email and phone office hours during the week
