Job Summary
Teaching Assistant duties for ADST 5P72 Winter D11 at Brock University: manage scheduled student contact, seminar material preparation, student consultation, marking/grading, examination proctoring, lectures attendance, and course administration; prior experience with ABA/Behavioral Psychology and ability to communicate effectively; comfortable with Brightspace and video conferencing tools; available for on-campus or online support in Burlington/St. Catharines during fall/winter terms.
Required Qualifications
- Completed undergraduate degree
- ADST 5P72 with >85 grade
- Demonstrated relevant Graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Behavioural Psychology
- Demonstrated experience in ABA
- Demonstrated experience in disability studies considered an asset
- Experience in teaching principles of ABA to graduate or undergraduate students and/or clinical staff members an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Available to attend in BURLINGTON and/or attend online synchronous and asynchronous course support – weekday/evenings/weekend
- Experience using Brightspace or other learning management systems
- Experience using video conferencing platforms (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams)
- Available for in person, online, email and phone office hours during the week
Additional Requirements
- Employment terms subject to course enrolments and budgetary approval
- Must comply with Collective Agreement Article 22.04
- On-campus work as needed
