Teaching Artist & Program Manager - TYA Engagement

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •B.A., B.F.A, M.A. or M.F.A, degree in theatre, theatre education, education, or similar or equal professional experience
• •3-5 years drama/theatre teaching experience required
• •demonstrating proficiency in developing and teaching arts-integrated curriculum
• •teaching improvisation
• •articulating and teaching the breath of the theatre experience
• •the craft of acting
• •Experience in a diversity of classrooms, programs, and ages
• •Strong writing and reporting skills required
• •highly collaborative and organizational skills
• •Assessment proficiency preferred
• •Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
• •Well versed in working and collaborating with schools, teachers, schools districts and community partners
• •Experience working with pre-kindergarten, elementary, middle school and high school students including devising and directing
• •Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• •Excellent collaboration, speaking and communication skills
• •Must be able to accommodate a highly varying schedule
• •Must be available to work occasional nights and weekends
• •Saturdays during the school year
• •Must have reliable transportation
• •be able to travel throughout Denver and the major metro area school districts
