Job Summary
Plan, teach, and assess students in an alternative, flexible learning model for autistic children within small classes of 6–8. Collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team of teachers, aides, and allied health professionals to support student growth using a strengths-based, neuroaffirming approach. Work full-time or part-time (5 days per fortnight) with regular hours excluding evenings or weekends. This role offers access to $18,000 in salary packaging, paid school holidays, and professional development opportunities at Autism Queensland's Brighton campus.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Education and/or Special Education
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
- Experience working with school-aged autistic children
- Understanding of inclusive education practices and diverse learning needs
