Job Summary
Support lead teachers in classroom activities and routines while assisting with care, supervision, and engagement of children. Help create a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment by preparing materials, setting up activities, and maintaining a clean classroom. Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Complete a pre-employment health appraisal and maintain updated health documentation every two years. Obtain required certifications including fingerprint clearance, CPR, TB/Chest X-Ray, and Food Handler's. Work as needed between 6:30am-6:00pm Monday through Friday at Benevilla's Preschool & Childcare Program in Surprise, AZ.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to the Surprise, AZ area.
- 1 year of current or recent experience in early care and education or related experience (volunteering, nannying, or weekend nursery work counts).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong customer service, organizational, and confidentiality skills.
- Ability to obtain certifications including Fingerprint Clearance, CPR, TB/Chest X-Ray, and Food Handler's (we provide support for certification costs).
- Must complete a pre-employment health appraisal and maintain updated health documentation every two (2) years thereafter in accordance with NAC accreditation standards.
