Job Summary
Plan and implement curriculum within established guidelines while preparing supplies and equipment for STEM-focused activities. Support daily operations by providing high-quality care to children, promoting individual growth, and ensuring safety through first aid treatment and incident reporting. Maintain program records, enforce licensing standards, and keep the center clean and presentable. Communicate regularly with families, school personnel, and community agencies to provide feedback on child development. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and special events as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Pre-employment health screening
- TB clearance
- Current certificates for Pediatric First Aid and CPR
- Total of 15 hours of preventative health and safety training or completion of this training within 90 days of hire
- LiveScan fingerprint and criminal record clearance
- Must enroll in at least 3 units of Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university per semester, until 12 units are successfully completed with a grade of C or better
Desired Qualifications
- One year of Early Childhood classroom experience
- Volunteer or paid experience in Early Childhood
