Job Summary

Conduct Spanish language instruction for elementary and middle school students across School #28 and School #12, utilizing interactive computer software and data from the NJSLS and NJSLA to drive daily lessons. Apply effective instructional strategies while maintaining strong communication with staff, parents, and the community. This split-assignment role requires New Jersey World Language certification and critical thinking skills. Pending budget availability, the position is open for ten days following the posting date. Paterson Public Schools seeks a candidate who reflects the diverse, inclusive community they serve.

Required Qualifications

  • New Jersey World Language (Spanish) Teacher Certification
  • Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
  • Effective instructional practices and strategies
  • Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
  • Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
  • Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
  • Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
  • This position is split between School #28 and School #12. The successful candidate will be assigned to both schools.
