Job Summary
As the instructor of the new Welding program at the College Station ISD Career and Technical Education Center, you will develop curriculum, establish a safe welding lab, and engage students in hands-on learning experiences to prepare them for industry certifications and careers in manufacturing and fabrication. Applicants should have either extensive industry experience or a valid Texas Teaching Certificate. Strong organizational, instructional, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive industry experience in welding or a related field in lieu of a teaching certificate
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in specified areas
Desired Qualifications
- AWS certifications or NCCER certifications or the ability to obtain them
- Experience in welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW
- Knowledge of shop safety and industrial manufacturing practices
Additional Requirements
- Must comply with safety procedures
- Supervisory responsibilities for assigned teacher aide(s)
