Job Summary
Teach Visual Arts (Ceramics) to a diverse student population in the Phoenix Union High School District. Design and implement instruction using multiple methods/resources; create a positive learning environment; assess student learning through formal and informal methods; communicate regularly with parents; collaborate with colleagues, parents, community, and agencies to foster student learning; connect academic knowledge to real-life situations; engage in professional development; demonstrate professional knowledge; perform duties per Board policies/statutes. Requires Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate and Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of adolescent development and the ability to work with diverse student needs are emphasized, along with EE EI training.
Required Qualifications
- Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor's degree
- Awareness of student needs; i.e., at-risk, ethnic, limited English proficient, exceptional
- EEEI training or willingness to staff development
