Job Summary
Provide quality instruction aligned to Minnesota state and national standards in Technology for Sullivan PK-8. Develop and implement curricula that reflect diverse student backgrounds; deliver hands-on, computer-based, and project-based units; use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to guide instruction; collaborate with peers and families; support IB/MYP Design integration; foster thinking, problem-solving, and responsible learning; train in or apply MYP/IB Design frameworks; build relationships to establish clear learning objectives and provide actionable feedback. Responsibilities include implementing the curriculum across technology areas (non-vocational electronics, technical media arts, woodworking tech, elementary technology education), contributing to a campus STEM team, and participating in ongoing professional development to meet district goals. Requires Bachelor’s degree, urban/multicultural teaching experience, and Minnesota teaching license in Technology (or equivalent licensure/variance). Master's or PhD preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- A valid Minnesota teaching license in Technology, proof of pending approved licensure OR the ability to obtain a variance special permissions on top of a valid MN teaching license
- Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting
