Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities in core subjects and coach student-athletes in assigned sports. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, reflect accommodations for diverse learning styles, and assess student growth. Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers. Plan and supervise teacher aides and volunteers; integrate technology to enhance teaching. For coaching responsibilities, instruct and supervise athletic activities, ensure compliance with UIL rules, schedule competitions, and oversee equipment and program evaluation. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and safety across instructional and athletic duties; participate in professional development and meet district regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one-year student teaching or approved internship
