Teacher - Supplemental Instruction Teacher - PK-2

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum, reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles, and use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process. Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, plan and assess student learning, and adapt curricula with special education staff for students with IEPs. Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, and staff; participate in staff development and in committees; supervise teacher aides and volunteers; and contribute to a positive classroom environment and adherence to district policies.
