Job Summary
Teach SPED resource/inclusion students and coordinate with ARD/IEP processes to develop and implement instructional programs. Deliver differentiated lessons, use ABA-based strategies to support behavior, collaborate with parents and staff, align instruction with district curriculum, integrate technology, supervise aides/volunteers, maintain accurate records, and ensure safety and confidentiality. Emphasis on positive communication, data-driven decision making, and ongoing professional development for improved student achievement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate for the subject and level assigned
- Experience with ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting
- Knowledge of behavior principles and ABA
- Knowledge of PASS/Boys Town model
- Ability to develop and implement instructional/therapeutic programs for students with special needs
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with parents and staff to develop IEPs
- Experience planning and delivering instruction aligned to district curriculum
- Ability to use data to plan and adjust instruction
- Familiarity with confidentiality requirements and professional conduct
- Proficiency with technology in the classroom
- Plan and supervise teacher aides/volunteers
- Maintain accurate student records and assessments
