Job Summary
SPED Teacher for Resource/Inclusion in Clear Creek ISD. Responsibilities include guiding student learning toward curriculum goals and individual IEP objectives, collaborating with families and staff to develop IEPs through ARD processes, implementing instructional, therapeutic, or skill-building programs, planning diverse instructional activities, providing accelerated instruction to at-risk students when applicable, participating in ARD committees, aligning resources to district curriculum, ongoing assessment to inform instruction, supporting special education, 504, ELL, and GT students, supervising aides/volunteers, integrating technology into teaching, and maintaining professional, confidential communication while adhering to district, state, and federal guidelines. The role emphasizes behavior management, crisis intervention when necessary, and contributing to a positive school environment in a 187-day academic calendar.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas certificate for the subject and level assigned
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
- Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting
- Ability to implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs for assigned students
- Experience with data collection and interpretation for student progress
- Knowledge of behavior principles and strategies (ABA)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional communication
