Job Summary
Provide special education instruction and support for students with diverse needs in self-contained, team, or itinerant settings. Develop or modify curricula, prepare lessons and instructional materials aligned to IEP goals, collaborate with students, parents, and staff, conduct assessments of learning styles, and implement instructional strategies that accommodate individual abilities. Manage classroom behavior and safety, supervise instructional aides/volunteers, and participate in ARD Committee meetings to establish and monitor IEPs. Maintain open communication with families and adhere to federal, state, and district regulations for special education, including safety and crisis intervention as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment
