Job Summary
Provide instructional and behavioral support to classrooms by leading staff development trainings, conducting classroom observations, consulting with classroom teams, and directly working with students and staff. Must have strong knowledge in assessment, IEP development, classroom structure, ABLLS/Functional Curriculum, and state curricula frameworks; demonstrated experience with special education populations, autism and behavior management; able to develop programming and provide modeling/guided practice to staff; strong communication and problem-solving skills to improve student and staff outcomes. SECEP role involves coordinating staff training, observing needs, and recommending targeted instructional strategies; duties may vary as assigned by management; accommodation is provided for qualified individuals as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field (Required)
- Virginia State Licensure with Special Education Endorsement (Required)
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct teaching of students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and severe behavior problems. ABA training and experience preferred.
