Job Summary
Teach Special Education students; develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and materials; implement instructional programs and strategies including differentiated and multisensory instruction; collaborate with students, parents, ARD/IEP committees, and staff; assess student achievement; manage classroom behavior and safety; provide supervision for Instructional Aides; ensure compliance with IDEA, IEP processes, BIPs, and district policies; maintain confidential records and engage in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required Special Education endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in English as a Second Language (preferred and will be required for contract renewal)
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
