Teacher - Special Education Life Skills (Mackey)

Teach children with learning impairments to function in regular classroom with modifications; develop and update individual education plans (IEPs); collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and evaluate teaching strategies; attend ARD meetings; maintain proper special education folders; disclose confidential student information only when required by law; perform other SHARS duties as assigned; focus on meeting individual student needs and abilities in the least restrictive environment; strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; understanding of disabilities and special education law; knowledge of MISD policies and change processes.
