Job Summary
Plan, organize, and provide appropriate learning experiences within the assigned area of responsibility for Special Education Life Skills. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and aligned with district curriculum goals. Employ varied instructional techniques and media, assess student progress, and communicate with parents. Identify and support the special needs of students and collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs. Develop and implement student behavior plans consistent with administrative policies, maintain accurate records, and participate in district-approved teacher evaluation processes. Plan and supervise teacher aides, volunteers, and student teachers, and engage in ongoing professional growth. Attend campus and district meetings and activities as required. Requires Bachelor's Degree and state certification; full-time role at Frasier Middle School within Mesquite ISD; strong communication, organizational, and cross-cultural teaching skills; ability to develop and deliver instruction tailored to diverse learners; experience with assessment, IEPs, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with appropriate state certification for subject and level assigned
