Job Summary
Lead students toward fulfilling their potential by translating district curriculum standards into meaningful learning experiences through classroom instruction and special area assignments. Maintain a positive educational environment that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all students while utilizing effective instructional and management techniques. Continuously collect student achievement data to inform instructional decisions and establish cooperative relationships with parents, students, and school personnel. Produce and maintain accurate student records regarding achievement, attendance, and discipline. Schedule includes a traditional 8-hour workday, with hours extending for parent conferences, professional development, and extracurricular activities. Full-time, certified exempt position with a base salary of $55,886.00.
Required Qualifications
- Arizona certification
- Valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card
- Evidence of highly qualified status
- Three letters of recommendation
- Transcript of credits
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certification
- Prior teaching experience
- Associate teacher experience
- Student teaching experience
- Practicum experience
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and effective professional relationships with teachers, administrators, parents, students
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with parents and school personnel at all levels
- Must be able to lift books, teaching materials, and classroom supplies usually under 20 lbs. but sometimes more
