Teacher, Special Education K-4

Special Education Teacher for grades K-4 at Lowell Public Schools. Internal transfer applicants only until 06/04/2026; after that, external candidates may apply. Responsibilities include updating curriculum content, planning instruction and assessments, monitoring student understanding, creating a positive learning environment, maintaining behavior standards, communicating learning goals, employing effective instructional techniques and questioning, refining strategies to boost student learning and confidence, promoting equitable opportunities, collaborating with parents, and working with grade/team/department to achieve school goals. Requires Massachusetts teaching certification, Bachelor’s Degree, and experience with the appropriate age group; SEI endorsement/ESL licensure preferred. Reports to Principal of Record; effective start for the 2026-2027 school year.
