Job Summary
Special Education teacher delivers the district curriculum to diverse students with disabilities, develops and implements curriculum aligned to IEP goals, drafts IEPs and progress notes, plans and supervises classroom schedules, coordinates paraprofessionals and other staff, conducts ongoing assessments, participates in IEP meetings and clinics, maintains communication with parents/guardians and case workers, ensures compliance with MCAS/state guidelines, and collaborates across departments to support safe and effective learning environments. The role requires differentiating instruction, maintaining records, and providing regular feedback to families and administration, with duties spanning instructional, administrative, and operational responsibilities as outlined by the district.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Education
