Job Summary
Full-time Special Education Teacher at Mesa Public Schools (Emotional Disability) responsible for translating district standards into meaningful lessons, developing IEPs, delivering instruction, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include using diverse instructional and management techniques, planning lessons aligned with IEP goals, utilizing district-adopted textbooks, applying higher-level thinking strategies, creating instructional materials and assessments, leveraging technology to enhance learning, collecting and analyzing student achievement data to inform decisions, maintaining positive relationships with students and families, and collaborating with parents, school personnel, and related service providers. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in special education or related field, valid Arizona teaching certificate appropriate to the subject area, coursework in foundations of special education and behavior management, evidence of highly qualified status, three letters of recommendation, and an official transcript; effective communication skills and experience with IEPs and inclusive teaching practices are emphasized. Required Qualifications
