Teacher - Special Education Emotional Disability (EDGE)

Guide students toward achieving their full potential by transforming curriculum standards into engaging, meaningful learning experiences. Prepare and deliver instruction appropriate to the student population, including those with special needs, while creating lesson plans correlated with State and District standards. Implement Individual Education Plans and use assessment data to improve instruction and place students in appropriate programs. Establish classroom routines to promote a positive environment, document behavior and attendance issues, and participate in team reviews and parent conferences. Assume legal responsibility for student supervision on school property and facilities. Maintain accurate records as required by law and participate in school-wide initiatives and committee work.
