Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, delivering instructional plans aligned to TEKS for Special Education ELAR students; plan and use instructional strategies, modify curricula via IEPs in collaboration with other staff; manage classroom behavior; assess student progress; integrate technology to support teaching; communicate with parents and colleagues; participate in staff development and comply with district, state, and school policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Student teaching or approved internship
