Job Summary
Special Education Teacher at Clear Creek Middle School on a 195/196 day contract (1.0 FTE) responsible for instructing students with individualized special needs to develop academic, interpersonal, self-management, and daily living skills. Implement district-approved curriculum; prepare and maintain IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans; assess eligibility for special education; collaborate with school personnel and community agencies; direct instructional assistants and volunteers; adapt lessons to meet IEP goals; communicate progress to parents/guardians; manage classroom behavior; administer medication/healthcare as required; ensure confidentiality and compliance with district policy and state law. Eligible for specialty stipends and multilingual proficiency bonuses; licensure and endorsement required.
Required Qualifications
- State of Oregon Teaching License with Special Education endorsement
- current First Aid Card
- Teaching Credential for Special Education appropriate level of instruction
- No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified status
- First aid/CPR, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
