Job Summary
Special Education teacher responsible for co-teaching in general education classes, collaboratively planning and delivering instruction, implementing Universal Design for Learning and differentiation, managing a caseload, conducting academic testing and evaluations, developing and monitoring IEPs, providing progress reports to parents, maintaining thorough records, meeting timelines for IEPs and triennial reviews, serving on the IEP team, and collaborating with administrators, teachers, aides, related service providers, and families to create a conducive learning environment aligned with district policies and goals. The role emphasizes evidence-based co-teaching practices, collaboration, and ongoing professional responsibility within Caroline County Public Schools.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland Professional Educator Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education Infant-3, 1-8, 6–Adult or K-12
