Job Summary
Special Education Teacher in Norfolk, VA responsible for direct classroom instruction and development/monitoring of individualized education and behavioral programs (IEPs) across programs such as ASD, EBICS, REACH, ReED, and TRAEP. Responsibilities include designing coherent instruction aligned to Virginia Standards of Learning, planning objectives, identifying and meeting student needs, documenting performance with assessments, managing classroom procedures and supervising instructional staff, and collaborating with families and community resources to support a diverse student population. Requires applying professional standards, ongoing professional development, and submitting applications/docs to the Director of Human Resources. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
- Virginia teaching license or eligibility
