Job Summary

Special Education (SPED) Teacher for 6th–8th grade at a DPS Innovation School. Develops and executes individualized lesson plans across subjects, administers and interprets formal and informal assessments, monitors behavior, and reinforces positive conduct per district policy. Plans and adapts instructional materials to meet diverse needs, communicates clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, and may provide daily living support (toileting, feeding, hygiene) and operate adaptive technology. May participate in extra-duty activities (e.g., coaching, tutoring, summer programs) as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and a valid Colorado teaching license; Master’s degree is required for Concurrent Enrollment positions. Experience with young SPED students and diverse communities is preferred. Demonstrates commitment to equity and collaboration, and resides in Colorado with the ability to meet physical demands of the role. Equal Opportunity Employer. Location: Denver, CO, United States.
