Job Summary
Provide quality instruction aligned to state and national standards for students with ASD; use varied assessment strategies to inform instructional decisions; engage students in rigorous, inquiry-based learning; collaborate with peers to implement best practices; communicate regularly with families and community resources to support learning; ensure safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environments; participate in ongoing professional development to improve instructional effectiveness; meet licensing requirements and district goals. May work as part of campus STEM team to integrate instruction across disciplines; requires Bachelor's Degree and Minnesota teaching license with continued professional development, and valuing diversity and equity in education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Minnesota teaching license or proof of pending approved licensure
- Demonstrated continued professional development or coursework related to special education (ASD)
- Experience or student teaching in urban, multicultural setting preferred
- Master's or PhD preferred
