Job Summary
Special Education Teacher serving as school-wide academic evaluator for initial and three-year evaluations. Responsibilities include scheduling, preparing, and attending TEAM meetings for referred and caseload students; providing academic support in general education classrooms; offering specialized instruction for small groups and individuals; collaborating with general education staff on accommodations and modifications; synthesizing assessment data into clear reports; maintaining current knowledge of Special Education processes including LRE and Universal Design for Learning; ensuring ongoing two-way communication with families; collaborating with specialists and school teams to contribute to an equitable and inclusive learning environment; related duties as determined.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (required)
- Massachusetts Teaching License in Special Education
- Orton-Gillingham Certification preferred
- SEI Endorsement
- Current authorization to work in the United States
- Experience in conducting formal academic assessments
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to use technology effectively
