Job Summary
Provide quality instruction aligned to Minnesota State Standards and local district goals for the 2026-2027 school year as a Special Education (SERT) teacher at Washburn High. Deliver diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to inform instructional decisions, support self-management, and engage students in rigorous inquiry-based learning. Collaborate with peers to plan and implement best practices, partner with families to support learning, participate in campus STEM initiatives, and meet professional development expectations through ongoing PDP processes. Requires a Minnesota teaching license in relevant special education areas (Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, or Academic and Behavioral Strategist) with a Bachelor's Degree (Master's or PhD preferred); 0.4 FTE over 42 weeks with STEM and urban/multicultural education experience highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Minnesota teaching license (Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, or Academic and Behavioral Strategist) or proof of pending licensure
