Job Summary
Special Education teacher (SERT) at North High for the 2026-2027 school year with 0.5 FTE (42 weeks). Provide quality instruction aligned to Minnesota state standards and national standards, using diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies. Collaborate with peers to plan and implement best practices, assess students’ developmental, cognitive and social needs, and create safe, respectful, and engaging learning environments. May work as part of the campus STEM team to support integrated instruction. Regular communication with families and participation in the Professional Development Process (PDP) are expected. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and a Minnesota teaching license in Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, or Academic and Behavioral Strategist (or pending licensure); Master's or PhD preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Minnesota teaching license in Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, or Academic and Behavioral Strategist, or proof of pending approved licensure
- Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting
- Master's or PhD preferred
