Job Summary
Meet and instruct assigned Spanish Language Arts and Heritage Language classes for students in grades 6-8. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs using varied instructional techniques. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and guide the learning process toward curriculum goals. Assess student accomplishments regularly and maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy. Make provision for availability to students and parents outside the instructional day when requested. Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, and evaluate their job performance cooperatively with department heads. Attend staff meetings and serve on required staff committees. Bilingual applicants (Spanish) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least one year of full-time teaching experience
- Commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply student performance data to instructional planning and execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Required license(s): WORLD LANGUAGE (SPANISH) 5-12
- Bilingual applicants (Spanish)
