Teacher-Spanish Language Arts/ Heritage Language 6-8

Meet and instruct assigned Spanish Language Arts and Heritage Language classes for students in grades 6-8. Plan a program of study that meets individual student needs using varied instructional techniques. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and guide the learning process toward curriculum goals. Assess student accomplishments regularly and maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy. Make provision for availability to students and parents outside the instructional day when requested. Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers, and evaluate their job performance cooperatively with department heads. Attend staff meetings and serve on required staff committees.
