*Teacher (Social Studies)

Plan daily lessons aligned to state standards and parish curriculum, delivering instruction that accommodates individual differences and stimulates higher-order thinking. Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior to maintain a safe, respectful learning environment while taking attendance and monitoring student progress. Develop Individual Education Plans for special education students, coordinate IEP meetings, and provide research-based instruction to meet specific instructional goals. Grade assignments, enter data into required systems, and conduct timely parent conferences to support student outcomes. Supervise students before, during, and after school hours, as well as during recess and assemblies. Collaborate with colleagues, department staff, and community resources to improve overall quality of student outcomes.
