Job Summary
High school Social Studies teacher, under moderate supervision, develops and delivers instruction aligned with North Carolina standards; plans and prepares lessons and assessments; teaches in-class and small-group settings; maintains student engagement and clear objectives; diagnoses learning challenges and coordinates with central-office staff for IEPs and 504 plans; administers tests, evaluates progress, and communicates with parents; collaborates in PLCs and participates in professional development; responsible for safety and classroom management; requires Bachelor’s degree and NC teaching certification; 10-month schedule with full-time status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
