Job Summary
Long-Term Substitute Social Studies Teacher for Grades 9-12 in Boston Public Schools. Role begins 08/26/2026 and ends 11/30/2026, with per diem rate for substitutes. Teaches Social Studies, demonstrates mastery and enthusiasm for content, sets ambitious learning goals, uses assessment to guide instruction, differentiates to meet diverse needs, fosters an equitable learning environment, and engages with families and the school community as appropriate. Requires Massachusetts teaching license for the content/grade level and eligibility to work in the United States; preferred but not required: SEI Endorsement or ESL certification and experience in urban schools.
