Job Summary
Plan and deliver Social Studies instruction aligned with district curriculum; develop and implement lesson plans reflecting diverse learning styles; use assessment results to guide instruction; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; supervise teacher aides and volunteers; communicate with parents and staff; participate in faculty meetings and staff committees; utilize technology to enhance learning; support student growth and development and manage a classroom in line with district policies and TEA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one year student teaching or approved internship
