Job Summary
Teach students in a psychiatric-hospital setting, using a variety of instructional strategies to align with the district’s curriculum and goals. Maintain a classroom climate that nurtures learning, respond to student ideas and opinions, employ effective instructional techniques, and incorporate problem-solving when appropriate. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, state teaching certification, CPR, and Satori ATI training within 90 days, with potential flexible hours. The role is full-time at Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital in Marysville, WA, with compensation in the $24.00–$35.00 hourly range and benefits including health, life, vision, dental, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in education, social services, or appropriate discipline.
- Experience: One year of related experience, with a knowledge of various teaching methods.
- Licensure: Certification through the State of Washington
- CPR certification within 90 days of employment
