Job Summary
Senior High School Special Education teacher responsible for planning and delivering instruction aligned with district curriculum, accommodating individual student needs, and using IEP-guided strategies. Duties include developing lesson plans, using differentiated instructional methods, integrating technology, assessing student progress, coordinating with other staff to modify curricula for special education students, and supporting extracurricular activities. Must maintain professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues, follow Plano ISD policies and state regulations, and demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Requires Bachelor’s Degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements, plus specialized certification in Special Education; experience includes student teaching or an approved internship. Responsibilities emphasize instructional planning, assessment, collaboration, and adherence to district and TEA guidelines.
