Teacher - Secondary - Health and Physical Education

Teach secondary Health and Physical Education, developing a classroom environment that fosters physical fitness, health knowledge, and social-emotional development. Deliver instruction in physical fitness, health education, rhythms and dance, and individual/dual or team sports per designated curricula; collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement a balanced program; develop and adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs; maintain classroom order, ensure safety of equipment and facilities, assess student learning, communicate progress to parents and counselors, and participate in school activities. Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with endorsements in Health and Physical Education; undergo FBI/State Police/CPS background investigations and Tuberculosis screening.
