Job Summary
Deliver science instruction to middle and junior high school students, covering curriculum standards and classroom management. Prepare and adapt lesson plans, assessments, and materials aligned with district guidelines. Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding academic progress. Adhere to all district policies regarding student conduct, safety, and nondiscrimination.
Required Qualifications
- Pre-employment drug testing
- Pre-employment Level II ground check
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
- Age 18 years or older
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university that qualifies for Florida Educator Certification
- Valid Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) educator's certificate
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Eligibility for (re)employment based on the Florida Retirement System (FRS) guidelines
- Authorization for background checks regarding employment or education history
- Ability to provide contact information for four most recent positions of employment
