Job Summary
Teach core science to high school students, develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, assess student learning, collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed, manage classroom behavior, and engage families. Lead or participate in extracurricular activities as assigned; maintain professional communication with parents, colleagues, and the community; comply with district policies and state regulations while pursuing ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training/work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
