TEACHER-SCIENCE HIGH

Teach science to high school students at Fort Lauderdale High, focusing on infusing critical thinking, application skills, interpersonal skills, and technology into an aligned curriculum and assessment process to meet district and state standards. Responsibilities include designing assessment strategies aligned with standards, communicating effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders, pursuing continuous professional improvement, promoting diverse instructional strategies, adhering to ethics and regulations, supporting student development, establishing an engaging learning environment, planning and evaluating instruction across varied settings, collaborating with peers and the community, integrating technology into teaching, completing ESOL training if LEP students are assigned, and maintaining school records and property compliance. Requires appropriate Florida certification and may involve bilingual skills as a preferred qualification; terms of employment are indicated as a 196-day calendar with exempt status.
