Job Summary
Science teacher at Cypress Bay High in Broward County responsible for creating a classroom atmosphere that supports high expectations and learning by infusing critical thinking, application, interpersonal skills and technology into an aligned curriculum and assessment process to meet district/state standards; duties include using assessment strategies, effective communication with students/parents/stakeholders, continuous professional growth, promoting critical, creative and evaluative thinking, addressing diverse student needs, upholding ethics and regulations, fostering positive learning environments, planning and evaluating instruction, collaborating with peers/parents/community, integrating technology, meeting ESOL requirements when applicable, maintaining records, ensuring safety, and performing other duties as assigned by the principal.
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate State of Florida certification.
- Computer skills as required.
- ESOL Requirement: Complete the training and obtain the endorsement outlined in state board of education rules and/or guidelines if assigned LEP students.
